Stage all set for Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury 2
Two heavyweights. All the marbles. Legacy and history on the line.
The stage is all set and the stakes couldn’t be any higher. Luckily, Usyk and Fury are two sizeable men, capable of reaching up and grabbing the elevated prize. Let me know in the comments who you’ve got and by what method. This isn’t the first post preparing for the big Riyadh rumble and it won’t be the last.

I recently wrote an in-depth piece for my friends over at Odds Now (shout out to Adam ‘Smido’ Smith) as part of my ‘Inside the Ropes’ column, which you might enjoy reading. Here’s the start:
It’s been seven months in the making and as we head into the final part of 2024, the huge heavyweight rematch, destined to define a generation, is almost upon us. On December 21, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Oleksandr Usyk puts his WBC, WBO and WBA belts on the line against Tyson Fury. Usyk is the lineal king, the Ring Magazine belt holder, he holds every accolade possible.
Well, apart from the IBF belt, which is currently in possession of Daniel Dubois. That has more to do with boxing politics than any legitimate claim on the excellent Dubois’ part. Usyk beat “the man” Tyson Fury to take his spot on the throne. Plus, he has already faced and stopped Dubois, when they met in Poland. So, it’s merely a spurious sidenote….
Fury has a few rounds to bully Usyk but Usyk has given us no reason to doubt he can weather any storm. See a tight points win to Usyk again but wouldn’t be surprised to see each guy touch canvass.
I like Tyson Fury. Just a gut feeling and I love comebacks.
