Christmas is over but legends remain, starting with an unblemished heavyweight
I’m probably a bit biased because of my Italian heritage but definitley an all-time great for me!
Ha! No surprise. A genuine legend was Rocky.
My Dad was a big boxing fan. Friday night fights from the Garden in the 50's. I think Jimmy Powers was the announcer. Carmine Basilio was a favorite and referred to as an onion farmer from upstate NY.
Great memories, George! Thanks for commenting.
The man was definitely a legend. His determination to win is inspiring.
Ali had good reach and moves so I'm curious how other modern boxers compare to Marciano.
Good question. Especially considering the size differences as Rocky was a light-heavy or cruiserweight in modern-day terms.
